I have been the beneficiary of ridiculous (and undeserved?!)..Yes) generosity from both family members and business mentors. The person certainly did not have to do or say anything to me or for me.
The trick is to "pay it forward".

Important to distinguish between encouragement and advice. Sometimes advice, especially when badly needed, should be wrapped in encouragement.
