It's only called waste when you haven't found a customer willing to pay more for it, a higher-value purpose...yet.
Question: How many agricultural empires have been built around finding new uses and markets for what was previously considered waste?
Answer: many.
Financial arbitrage is cool and all, but arguably the highest-impact arbitrages in agriculture involve turning the waste of a low-value commodity into a higher-value commodity.
Let's call it commodity arbitrage.
