To me, innovation is something that cash flows. Yes, cows pass gas from their orifices, but not as much as what is still in the manure. A bomb calorimetry test can show that. Suppressing methane from INSIDE the cows using tannins, organics acids, sea weed or some other du jour additive simply means higher feed costs. Tests show milk quality and quantity probably won’t pay for the added costs. Will it sell more product? Confusing message and I would love to see the package label on the product (“B-Free and F-Free!”). Feed additives don’t stop methane generation, it just moves it to the lagoon. A digester on the other hand, is a great idea.

Curious how their model held up w/ $8 corn and cattle confined every day of their lives. Our unfair advantage in the beef sector is conversion of roughage by a mobile, solar-powered grazing animal. You say it—dairy is a manufacturing industry and beef is their byproduct.
