Janette, I agree with each of your five points, especially #3, but maybe could combine #4 and 5, and insert use of technology. Through COVID, this will likely bring a quicker commercial adoption of technology in processing AND production to utilize data for decisions, and to manage labor and risk.
As a fellow alum of two land grants, I see community colleges, such as Iowa Lakes College, filling valuable needs to turn out Farm Managers. Land grants are still uniquely positioned to conduct research, albeit on smaller scale on-campus, but do research at commercial sites. As a Past Alumni President, we can do better networking by staying connected and in-conversation, whether in-person or more online.
