Yes. Pakistan was the first to adopt 3g because they had no infrastructure. Agtech should expand its view on early adopter markets outside of developed countries. Agricorps would ponder what needs to be true to make them ready, but the problem is worth solving.

Thanks for sharing your book club theory. My perspective on this topic - which is by the way my career - is to not view any form of agriculture as a singular entity but as part of a whole. For example milk. Yes you are right. The dairy farming in India (and other developing nations) should be modernized and made more efficient. That would certainly make those banning gas stoves happy. But who says the current “modernization methodology” is correct? I will wholeheartedly go out and say I believe all of the “ag world” needs to get their shit together and focus on providing efficient forms of protein, carbs, fats, vitamins and minerals or face the fact those pushing a biofood agenda will wipe them out. To me the agtech world needs to figure out how the jump ahead in the essential nutrition game and stop wasting time on transaction systems.

Supposedly our world population is increasing 2 million in the next 30 yrs. That actually may not be the case but regardless getting our protein system in check through new agtech should be a priority. For example using new technology to make higher quality protein while reducing slaughter animal footprints, growing crops with higher vitamin and mineral content, producing crops with higher omega 3 vs omega 6 compositions all while upcycling the residual carbohydrate material into more efficient feed, fiber, fuels and polymers.

The ag world is beautifully strong. But fragmented. And that is no one’s fault. It’s how the industry was meant to grow. But times change and so do the old ways of yesteryear.

I’m tired of hearing agtech is a questionable or even bad investment area. Bullshit. It’s huge. Bad is a word that should be applied to the climate zealots who come from the marketing world running VCs and investing into precision fermentation and cell culture. Everyone in the ag world should be aware of these tiny little vegans who think they know something. Anyone smart just has to look at them and can quickly figure out they look sickly small and weak. We certainly do no want our kids to be like that do we? No, we want them to be big tall strong and smart. So let’s get this ship righted. And get the world climate assholes off our backs.

It’s time to go from a fragmented mess to a well organized army. It is not hard. But it requires a plan and investments. It’s time to act.

💪🏻👍🏻

Well, fiscally ag tech has been a bad investment area. Just saying.

“ag world” needs to get their shit together and focus on providing efficient forms of protein, carbs, fats, vitamins and minerals

We do. For a silly low cost to boot.

Sure, but that’s not the topic at hand.
